Marriage Certificates if the bride or groom's father is deceased

Does anyone know if on marriage certificates, when the bride or groom's father is deceased, this is always noted? It is noted on my grandmother's marriage certificate, but does that mean that if there is no note the father was alive on the date of their child's marriage?
