I have someone that has inmate listed on their death certificate. I know what inmate means. He died in the state hospital and his stay there was only 5 days. There is also a stamp on it that says Non-Resident
Am I right to assume that he was in prison and got sick and was taken to the state hospital during his illness? It says he died of tuberculosis.
This was my step-mom's grandfather. She had no idea he even lived in the state. She was told he moved away when his first wife died and his daughter her mother was raised by grandparents. This puts him just miles away from where they all grew up. Raises lots of questions. Just trying to figure out what we can from the death certificate and I had never come across one with this type of info on it.
