Is your father still living? If so, it may be difficult to obtain information on him through a genealogy site. Most genealogy sites are much better for tracking ancestors who lived, say, 75 years ago or earlier. Also, most message boards, including the ones at ancestry, have a policy of NOT posting information on living individuals.
