Hit a wall with the Toter family need advice!

Surnames: Toter
I have hit a dead end researching Alphonse Toter. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1913. He stated he was one of 13 children but they all died in the influenza outbreak in 1918. His parents Andrew Toter and Anna Yunasowshas came here from Russia in 1910.

I have not been able to find any death records for his parents or his siblings. I also have not been able to find any immigration records for his parents. I have searched the internet and the Carnegie library in Pittsburgh.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tina

Thank you for your help. I actually posted that copy of her death certificate. The cemetery does not have a record of her being buried there, I've already checked. My grandmother barely remembers her funeral but thinks its possible she was buried in a pauper's grave. Thank you again for your help, as you can see I have tried a lot of different routes to find any additional information.

One thought on finding Anna's burial: most cemeteries keep at least two sets of records - one organized by burial date and one organized by lot and/or name. Sometimes the lot records are only indexed by the name of the lot owner, or by the name of the first person buried in a group of lots, so not every buried person would be indexed. There's also the possibility of typos.

But every person buried should be listed in the chronological burial book. If you have the burial date from her death certificate, you should ask the cemetery to check their chronological burial book. If they're not cooperative, you may have more luck if you can do this in person. I've found people this way when they couldn't be found in the index by name.

And If you find her burial, you may find her husband buried nearby.
