I also lived on Hollywood for a time with my grandparents at 155, about 10 houses east of Charleston. I also attended Greenfield Union School. I remember petting the horses of the delivery wagons and getting a piece of ice to suck on in the summer. It was truly a happy childhood.

A very happy childhood. No problems, we ran the neighborhood silly, as long as we came in when we saw my father's car in the driveway home from work for dinner and then when the street lights came on. We had so much fun.

I went onto Nolan junior high and then to Pershing High school. A friend and I would ice skate at the fairgrounds or at Palmer Park. We would take the bus to both places and if the bus wasn't coming we would walk. We were both in good shape then. We still are friends although we live in differnt parts of the country. The old neighborhood has changed a great deal, but the memories are still vivid in our minds and hearts.

Ha! I lived on Charleston, and remember stroller rides to Brown's, probably 1954-1956. We moved to R. O. before kindergarten.

I remember the horse-drawn milk wagon, but in my memory thought it was Twin Pines. Was it Brown's, then, on Charleston?

Hello, yes it was Browns Creamery. the one I'm referring to was on seven mile rd near Charelston, I can't remember what the cross street was , but it was past greenfield union headed west. I attended greenfield union and then Nolan and onto pershing. this was in and about 1951-1959.

I thought it might be Twin Pines too because I can't seem to recall if Brown's did that. I could be wrong. I go through the old neighborhood now when I come home to visit. I live in Colorado and I will be there in 2 weeks. It is so sad for me to see that area now. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in.

Greenfield Union Was on Seven Mile between Charelston and Blake St. Browns Creamery was between Blake St. and Carman St. Heading further west was Havana St., Hershey St. and Bauman St. Next would be Woodward Ave. I lived at 110 W. Hollywood from birth in 1945 until 1966. I remember getting quart bottles of milk delivered by our Brown's Creamery guy named Al. He had a horse drawn wagon. I attended Greenfied Union, Nolan Jr High, Cass Tech and Pershing High Schools. I was also a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church that was on Seven Mile across from Bauman St. Does anyone rember the Variety Center Store on Seven Mile or Snow King ice cream across the street. There was a small grocery kiddy-corner from Greenfield Union with a Bakery next door.

Our next-door neighbors, The Hoffmans, attended Epiphany Lutheran Church. Did you know them? They moved from Fernhill to the street across from Nolan around 1946-1948. Dad was George Hoffman, I believe. He raised pigeons in their backyard. I thought he and his pigeons were wonderful.

They had six children; one named Mary was about 2 years younger than me; born est 1940.

I also remember Cunningham's Drug Store at Woodward and 7 Mile Corner.

Another time, another life. Beautiful memories.
