Does anyone have any information of DARKE COUNTY OHIO?

Am researching the surnames -

GRIMES, JOHNSTON, LUDY, RECK, DEUBNER, POE, WARVEL and ZIMMERMAN

Suspect that the families came from VA thru PA but aren't sure.

I have traced my family only 5 generations and we stop in eastern Ohio. James Grimes married Elizabeth Cresap in 1816 and move to Flushing, Ohio area. They are from from Elicott's Mill, Maryland. Please let me know if you want what little information I have.

What do you want to know about Darke Co DEUBNERS

I just recently visited the Greene Count Court House and found a 2nd marriage to a Annetta DEUBENER reported for my GG-grandfather, John Frederick BUBECK (lived Gettysburg, OH and also somewhere in PA during the 1850's and 1860's) from Wurttemberg, Germany b. 25 August 1831 and died in 1917 in Darke County. He was married to Annetta after my GG-grandmother Maria Regina BUBECK nee BAISCH died. The minister of the service was Eld. John H. Christian and the certificate shows he was married to Annetta her on 15 August 1904. I also have a 1920 census with them both listed. Annetta was born in Switzerland and she apparently had a daughter Louise OLNEY born in Switzerland also. Her parents were B. KAMME and Francis Leouta? It also shows Annetta with a will and John F. and Louise OLNEY listed in it. Does anyone have any information for either of these families? I am primarily looking for where John Frederick BUBECK may have lived in PA.

Hi, I am sorry to say that none of the names match any that I have. While ther are several Deubner families around, mine are all descended from 3 brothers who came from Germany to Darke Co in the mid 1800s. Regards, Paul

John F. BUBECK was married in Darke County, OH and the marriage was filed and recored on 1 Sept. 1904. John was 65 years old at the time of this marriage and his residence was Gettsyburg, OH. John F. was born in Wurttemberg, Germany. John F. BUBECK's father was John F. BUBECK and his mother's name was Margaret YOUNG.

In this marriage he was marrying Mrs. Annetta DUEBNER age 70 from Greenville, Darke County, OH. Annetta was born in Switzerland and she was a housekeeper. Her father's name was Benedic KAMME and her mother's maiden name was Francis LANTA. She had been married twice and at the time of marriage she was a widow.
