Search Spotswood directory and also spearch Middlesex NJ directories.

Then contact the reference librarians at the libraries that come up.

Note: I have trouble using worldcat.org with Internet Explorer and have to use Firefox as a browser instead.

I am looking for anyone who can do a look-up in a Spotswood, NJ phone or city directory 1976 or later. I am looking for a Marian Osbourne or variant thereof. I do not know her husband's name, or if she was widowed at that point. I know only that she lived in Spotswood in 1976. Also, if anyone has any tips about how or where I can find that information, I would appreciate it. Neither the local library, nor the New Brunswick Genealogy section have that information. Thank you very much.

Matthew: I would love for you to research my "brick wall" ancestor John (or James) Henry Kelley (Kelly) born abt 1845 in SC. Need his parents & sibling names. I already have from his 1873 marriage forward, but it is the BACKWARD info that I am in need. His GA death cert. list his father as Henry Kelley (Kelly), but no mother is listed. He and wife Cynthia had four boys and one girl. One of the boys is my grandfather.

Thank in advance for your help. God Bless Suzan

I am offering a free family history research service. Yes, free. Why - I am not particually sure. I think it's because I value my family so highly and I feel people have the right to know there's. The web address for this is www.family-history-research.webnode.com and all enquires will be dealt with in a two day period - excluding any periods I know I wont be able to respond for, which I'll publicise before. I hope this is found useful,

From Matthew Waterfield

Thank you for your reply. Since posting the message I too found those baptisms. Unfortunately I have been unable to locate the birth and death entries for Thomas Frederick. I am thinking that perhaps he died on the day he was born which would mean he was less than 24 hours old and registration wasn't required. However, I am still at a loss with Edith Harriet PATTENDEN nee WINTER. My grandmother is under the impression that Edith died during childbirth so I suspect that it was with Thomas Frederick.

Thanks for you help. It's very much appreciated!

WINTER, Edith Harriet b.1870 Pancras, Middlesex

Hi,

I am trying to locate the death for Edith Harriet WINTER. She was born 6 May 1870 in Pancras, Middlesex. She was 'married' to Frederick PATTENDEN (PADDINGTON) in the 1901 Census and they had a daughter Ellen Elizabeth PATTENDEN (PADDINGTON) 21 Sep 1890 also born in Pancras. She is my Great-Great Grandmother. In 1896 Frederick married Eliza HARDY and on the certificate it states Frederick is a bachelor. My Grandmother has informed me that Edith died giving birth so I have requested a certificate for Frederick Thomas PATTENDEN who was born 1892 in Pancras but died in 1893.
I have searched all the obvious sources but I am hoping someone may have the Parish Registers for Pancras, Middlesex.

Regards,
Maria

I must not have written my last e mail very clearly. The hand written note I mentioned was one that the Dr. wrote when Caty/Katy was born. Caty/Katy was the mother of William Stowe & Ebenezer. I was using that as an example.
I am wanting proof of birth, etc for William and / or Ebenezer. The father of Wm. and Ebenezer was William Henry Boyce Du Bois. I thought you would need the parents names in order to search for a birth certificate for Wm. and Ebenezer. Thank you Frances Galer GG grand daughter of William William Stowe DuBois.

You won't be able to get an official birth certificate from New York because registration for those began in 1881.

I'm confused, though -- you say you have a birth notice, handwritten by a doctor -- Do you not believe that notice? or do you mean it doesn't have enough info?

What was the doctor's name on the "notice"? Where was it filed? How did you get it?

Do you know what religion the family might have practice?

What are the specific records you had checked? I'm wanting proof of who their father & mother are.
Eben. was born in 1806 or 07 in Buffalo, NY. Wm. was either born in Buffalo or in Canada in 1811. I have records that show both places for Wm. Their parents are William Boyce DuBois and Catherine "Caty" Collins. The birth notice that was hand written by the Dr. has it spelled Katherine "Katy"
Some records show the father as William Henry Boyce DuBois.I had volunteers who checked church records in Canada plus other records.

Bernhardt Birth records

I need some help finding information on my great grandfather, Frederick Bernhardt born March 13, 1878. I thought he was born in Sankt Michaelsidonn, but I think that might be wrong. I had pulled records from the website below on Frederick’s father, Johann Bernhardt born August 1845. On the record on the website it shows Johann’s date of birth as 1844. I thought that this might be the correct father of Frederick Bernhardt and that they came from Sankt Michaelsidonn. I contacted the offices in Sankt Michaelsidonn and they are unable to find any records on my Great Grandfather, Frederick (see email that she sent me below). How do I find out where Frederick and his father Johann were from in Germany so I can obtain a copy of records?

http://gedbas.genealogy.net/person/show/1127559562

so far I have only (born on 22.06.1875 in St. Michaelisdonn) the birth record of Anna Margaretha found. At this time, Johann Hinrich Bernhardt and Dorothea Magd...alena Bernhardt were married born long already.

More births I can not find, unfortunately.

Where did you get the information that Frederick Bernhardt was born on 13.03.1978 in St. Michaelisdonn?See More

Hello Maxine!

I think I've found the little family you're searching for.
That was heavy going. There are some transcription errors in the entry.
Household 137. As you see it's hard to read and find (surname), but the age for John is probably not 25 but 23. And I don't think that there is a "M" at the beginnung of wife's name, it's rather an "N" than "M".

What do you think about this?

Regards
Bea
