His father was Samuel and mother was Nancy. Margarets parents was David Cochran and mother was Jane Morrison, I cannot seem to go back any further with them, can any one help please.

In the top 7 hits are 2 for Canadian passenger lists, and 2 for UK incoming passenger lists. I can't see the result details with my US subscription.

Thank you for looking that up for me. I found a free download of that Minisink Valley RDC book at "Internet Archive" (www.archive.org). They offer free downloads for many old publications.

Here is a way that you could get that information:

Search for genealogies and estates of Charlestown, Massachusetts at worldcat.org.

Note: Looks as if there are several editions by the same author. Look at all of them.

Email one of the resulting libraries asking if a reference librarian could get you the info.

It won't matter to the librarian that you're not in the US (unless you wanted to check out a book or something...:) )

There is a manuscript currently held at NEHGS (I have a call number). It is a copy of a hand written note. Unfortunately, I cannot request a copy because I am not a NEHGS member. Is there any member out there who would be willing to obtain this on my behalf?

I was a former member of NEHGS and was unhappy with my experience. I don't want to have to pay $75 on top of a search fee just to get a copy of a copy of a document which was probably given to them for free!

I would pay any fees associated with the search and photocopies. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just enter "Civil War Records" and "Free" (both with quotation marks) and you'll get about 114,000 hits.

You're probably right about the obit being wrong. Census records for the Mackey family in 1900, 1910 and 1920 don't show a Cleo either. Thanks for looking!

I did some checking for you. I could not find a Cleo Munn.

I did find obit for Lizzie Mackey, widow of Reuben Mackey. She died 9-1928 Hartford. It lists her daughters as Mary Stevens, Anna Jameson, Viola Norfleet and Bertha Lee, sons Reuben and Obie.

Maybe the mention of Cleo Munn was a mistake in the obit.

Can someone look in Ancestry's search index for the 1930 US Census for New York for a Cleo MUNN (female, unknown age). She is mentioned as "Mrs. Cleo Munn of Brooklyn, NY" in Anna (Mackey) JAMESON's 1934 obituary from The Hartford Courant. They were sisters.

I have found a reference (in "Colonial Virginia Source Records, 1600s-1700s") to the marriage of Abraham Summers and unknown Halsey; rem. VA to KY c1790. A son, b. Wayne Co, KY.

The reference refers to Perrin. 1886. Simpson Co, p. 710.

I would really appreciate it if somebody could do a lookup in the Perrin for me.

Help finding danish ancestors in the US. Surname: BACH

I need some help to find out what happened to my great-great grandfathers two brothers that left for the US.
Here are some informations on the brothers:

- Sophus Bach, male, born 1. June 1877 in Viborg, Denmark. Left Copenhagen 2. January 1904, destination: Chicago

- Carl Baars Bach, male, born 25. June 1882 in Viborg Denmark. Left Denmark 29. May 1913, destination: New York
Travelled with his wife (Petra Bach 25 years old) and his daughter (Carla Bach 1 years old).

The parents names are Carl Christian Bach and Maria Sophia Henriette Baars.

I do not know if they died in the US or returned back to Denmark. Maybe their names where changed because of translation problems :)

If somebody could help me tracking them down in the US,that would be perfect, since i am living in Denmark :)
I would also be thankful for any information that would help me finding them through the Internet.

Is there someone who could find the party below in a Laurelton, NY, 1951 City Directory or phone book and/or could do a lookup for the address given in 1951? If you don't find her but find a Helen at that address in 1951, what was her last name on the offhand chance she may have remarried? This is genealogical research and this party is a clue in breaking down a long-standing brickwall.

Helen Drake living at 138-48 231st Street, Laurelton, Long Island, New York in 1951. She would have been about 64 at the time. There may or may not have been a Charles Francis Drake, (son) born in Illinois about 1908 or Kathleen Anna Drake, (daughter) born in Illinois about 1910 living with her. These are her two children.

I would be grateful for this information as well but it is not that important. What kind of building was at this address, such as an apartment complex, etc?
