Can you find Adline LANE (Arkansas) in 1900?

Surnames: LANE, WILLIAMS
Hello there,

I'm hoping someone might be able to find a 1900 US Census record for an Adeline Lane. Adline (Adeline) married Charles Williams and can be found on the following US Census records. Both of the census records I did find, show that Adline's parents were both born in Arkansas.

1910 Short Mountain, Logan, Arkansas
1920 Titsworth, Logan, Arkansas

I can't seem to find her on either the 1900 US Census or the 1930 US Census.

1900 ???
1930 ??? {Heritage Quest doesn't seem to have any Arkansas records for 1930}

Any help in finding either the 1900 or 1930 US Census would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I tried so far.

Using Heritage Quest,

* Reviewed all LANE's in Arkansas for 1900
* Reviewed all given names of Adline and Adeline in Arkansas for 1900
* Tried various other advanced search options of Heritage Quest.

Unfortunately, I don't know any of Adeline's siblings or parents.

Thanks, Jim

I found them in 1930......indexed incorrectly:

Name: Charlie Willimon
Age: 48
Estimated birth year: abt 1882
Birthplace: Arkansas
Relation to head-of-house: Head
Spouse's Name: Collins Willimon ** it reads Adline
Race: Negro
Home in 1930: Titsworth, Logan, Arkansas

Let me know if you would like the census image.
Kind regards
Darlene

Thank you for the quick response.

I took a look at the Adline Laine. It certainly is a possibility that it's the one I'm looking for. Although, I've never seen her father listed as coming from Tennessee before. I'll have to take a closer look into this one.

Thanks again, Jim

Thank you for your quick response.

This is certainly the Adline I was looking forin 1930. How did you go about finding it. I don't think I would have ever thought about Willimon.

I'd love to get a copy of the census image. I have access to Heritage Quest from home, but Arkansas isn't on-line yet through them for 1930. When I need to use Ancestry.com, I have to go to a library the next town over. Sometimes, it's a while before I can get there.

Thanks again, Jim

Hi Shirley,

fyi... Here's one thing which just caught my attention after sending my last response to your e-mail. I found the Adline Laine you referred to on Heritage Quest. Heritage Quest, at least for 1900 does not have an all-names index. It appears to have only the heads of households indexed. I found the Adline Laine by looking at the Laines in Jackson County, Arkansas. I believe ancestry.com indexes all names in the household for 1900.

Thanks again, Jim
