War of 1812 Bounty Land Warrants

Surnames: Boyd
I'm trying to identify the location of two bounty land warrants issued to William Boyd (b.1786 d.1855) of Hawkins County, TN. His war pension record identifies two warrants: 10818-80-50 and 27246-80-55. When I searched for these warrants online, they existed but were issued to other people, not William Boyd or any of his heirs.

Does anyone have experience researching these records that could explain why these warrants would not be issued in William Boyd's name? I believe that his son, James Boyd may have settled on one of these parcels in McDonough County, IL before 1850, but I cannot find the paper trail.

Perhaps William sold or gave the warrants to another party. See
