I am looking for someone with a book whose English title translates to "The Marriage Registrations of Scottish Military in The Netherlands 1574-1665" or "De Huivelijksin lekeningen Van Schotse Militairen in Nederland 1574-1665" in Old Dutch. The author is Dr. Ir. J. MacLean. Any info would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is entirely related to your research, but my Brown research may be similar to yours. I have a Robert Fisher Brown Sr. [b. Nov. 8, 1759, Breda, Netherlands]. Parents were British [Scotch?] loyalist soldier [under Capt Johnstone] James Brown, and wife Catherine/Katherine/Catherina Fisher/Fischer [b. 1727, Schonhooven, Zuid Holland, Netherlands]. They were married in 1749, same place she was born. She may have died in 1776.

Catherine Fisher may have come to the port of Philadelphia, PA., via Rotterdam, Netherlands [then Eng.] aboard the British ship "Samuel" or "Adventure"/"Adventurer", in 1731.

What you both need is the 3-volume "Papers Illustrating the history of the Scots Brigade in the service of the United Netherlands, 1572-1782", published by the Scottish History Society, 1899, 1899, and 1901. The 16th century is in volume one, and the 18th century in vol 3.
