Does anybody have any idea where I can go to do foreign family searches for free. I am to the point in my tree that everything is in Europe.

You don’t say what European countries you are interested in.

Look at the message boards for the relevant countries to learn what others are doing. You can also try www.familysearch.org.

I am looking for Germany and Switzerland, mainly. My mom's side comes from Germany and my dad's side comes through Germany from Switzerland. My mom's maiden name is Geiselman, Geissman. My dad's surname is Keener, Kuhner, Keiner, Kiener

I have not done any research in Germany or Switzerland. You need to find the town they were from. Records were kept at the local level.

This is a website you might try.
http://www.geneanet.org/

It is popular in Europe and has many user submitted family trees. It has all the same problems as user submitted trees at Ancestry but maybe it can give you an idea where the surnames you are interested in are most common. If you get lucky you may find a tree submitted by someone that speaks English. That happened for me in France.

I searched for both Geiselman and Geissman in Germany and got a few matches on both names.

You would be more successful if you would post on the relevant location boards, providing as much information as possible. Someone with knowledge about researching in Germany and Switzerland will then see your messages and be able to help.

Good luck.
