Formats for other languages

Okay, I'm not sure if this is a dumb question or not. Does anyone know if there are different genealogy formatting practices for other languages (i.e. numbering systems, date formats, etc.) Specifically, I'm wondering about Spanish and Greek, since I may be interested in translating my material into those two languages at some point. I would think that using English-language practices would at least be understandable . . .

Ioannis Dimitriadis, b. 02 Jan 1985 in Arcadia, Greece
Ιωάννης Δημητριάδης, γ. 02 Ιαν 1985 στην Αρκαδία, Ελλάδα
Ioannis Dimitriadis, n. 02 Ene 1985 en la Arcadia, Grecia

. . . but I'd prefer to use whatever language-specific practices exist, if any.
