A few months ago my husband and I visited an antique shop in Lubbock Texas on our way home from a trip to Idaho. While there, I found some photographs that had names on them and felt an urge to buy them. I just couldn't let them remain there...what if they were never discovered by their family members?
There are four photos in all. Following is a description of each one:
(1) The Blakeleys, taken by the photographer Callahan (no address given), approx.5x7 carte de visite (heavy cardboard). Family photo of George W. Blakeley, his wife (looks like it says) Tennessee, daughter Teresa, son Boyd, son Amos W., son Pierce, and daughter Maude. Looks like taken about 1870-1890.
(2) Henry Clay Rodgers, taken by photographer E.N.Marschall in Honey Grove, Texas, 2 1/2x4 size carte de visite. He looks to be about 25-30 years old.
(3) Annie Swann Rodgers, taken by photographer Crockett Brothers of Clarksville, Texas, 2 1/2x4 size carte de visite. She is a toddler about 18-24 months old.
(4) A World War II photo of 5 young men who appear to be in the Army Air Corps, in uniform. The names on the back are identified as: James Hamilton (Hambones), Wm.Stoddard, V.L. Heed, Burryhill, and Roger Williams.
If any of these photographs belong in your family, I will be happy to send them to you for cost of postage. Email me and receive the details. Thank you.
