Capt. Augustine Rouxelin DENOS was a French soldier who fought at the Battle at Yorktown and remained in America following the end of the Revolutionary War. He died in Baltimore MD in 1806.
He had married and had two children.
His daughter Constance DENOS first married Peter Daniel DECAINDRY and after his death, married Nicholas Bateman.
His son, also named Augustine Rouxelin DENOS, became a grocer in Baltimore MD.

My ancestor Thomas DENOE was born in Baltimore in January 1812 ( slightly more than nine months after the marriage of the younger Augustine R. DENOS.) There has been circumstantial evidence that Thomas DENOE was the son of Augustine R. DENOS, "Jr."

In 2014 my DNA, inherited from Thomas DENOE, matched the DNA of a descendant of Constance DENOS Decaindry. Our common ancestor was Capt. Augustine R. DENOS. The match confirmed that Capt. DENOS was the grandfather of Thomas DENOE.

Any decendants of Thomas DENOE, born January 1812 in Baltimore, who might be interested in their Capt. Augustine Rouxelin DENOS connection can contact me for further information.
