Gallacher, Young
Hi Daniel,
Column 1: 1893 31st day of August at 9 Queen Mary Avenue Crosshill Parish of Cathcart after publication according to the forms of the Free Church of Scotland.
Column 2: In brackets above each name is the word signed. James Gallacher Young, House Factor’s Clerk, bachelor. Jessie Sutherland Steele, spinster.
Column 3: Age 27 & 24.
Column 4: Both living at 4 Adelphi Street, Glasgow.
Column 5: Parent details including MS (maiden surname) James Gallacher Young, hardware merchant. Sarah Young MS McPhee/MacPhee. Matthew Steele, mechanical engineer (deceased), Mary Steele MS Gallacher (deceased).
Column 6: Signed John Urquhart Minister of Chalmers Free Church. David R King witness, Agnes G Young witness
Column 7: 1893 September 2 at Cathcart, Andrew […].
Can’t make out the registrar’s surname, but it looks like Canduff, Cauduff, or Caudiss?
Hope this helps
Linda
