Hi please could someone help me I am researching my step fathers family tree his mother was called Hilda Hignett born 1909 and his father was called John Joseph Neilon born 1908 from what I gather they where both Liverpool born and bred.
My dad can not remember much of his mum as she was there when he was evacuated during the war but his mum left his dad by the time he came home from evacuation. So on this I purchased their marriage certificate married 5th April 1931 Liverpool to find out Hilda Hignetts fathers name and it is unreadable so Plus I don't know here full birth date except 3/4 1909. so please could any one help as he has never been able to look into his family tree before now as his dad would not talk about her please help me .
