It has taken me years to finally figure things out. I found that McMills (my grandfather's surname) born in Scotland but his parents name was signed "McMiles" then further search I discovered his gggrandparents James McMile
So the name has changed and still searching. Also found family member Agnes Paterson aka: Agness Patterson again with varied spelling and also birth date changes. Located what I think is correct birth year for Agnes 1819 Ireland, James Mile aka: McMile, aka: McMiles aka: McMills husband of Agnes Paterson died in Scotland Old Monkland, Lanark
