I am researching the following family members: William J. Holland, born in Ireland approx 1865, Spouse Ellen Holland, born in Canada approx 1867. Sons were Joseph T. Holland, born approx 1893 in Michigan and Alexander Holland, born approx 1895 also in Michigan. I am currently unable to research further back until I can somehow determine when what date William and Ellen died so that I can then request their death certificates. The only information I can find on them is on a 1910 Census record listing them as living in Detroit, Ward 10, Wayne, Michigan. I found a form online at the Detroit Clerk's office which I filled out and sent a check to run a search on death dates but it was returned along with my check indicating that these are handled through the Health Dept. But the only info on the Health Dept webpage indicates these searches are conducted through the Burton Collection at the Library???
