I own a complete set of Hinshaw's Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, and would be willing to do lookups on a PART-time basis. I am still part of the working world, so along with family and other commitments I will tell you that I will only do this until it gets to be too much. In that context, I ask that you follow a few requests in submitting your queries for lookup:
1. In the subject line, the first words should read "Lookup in Hinshaw's, Volume * (if known), followed by then name of the individual you want information on, followed by the Monthly Meeting (if known) and/or state of residence. For example:
Lookup in Hinshaw's, Volume II - John Smith, Philadelphia MM, Pennsylvania
2. Only ONE person per query, but you may include family members (spouse or children) in the body of your message, and they will be included as well.
3. ONLY queries to the board will receive a response, and your response will also go to the board. I will not always have time to provide personal responses off the board. Also, by posting it to the board, should I not be able to get to it in a short period of time, then perhaps someone else will be able to do so.
4. Any query not following the above guidelines, particularly the subject line, will likely not receive any response.
I will look in on the board frequently, so the subject line is important in order for me to scan each subject line and readily find your lookup request.
