This was written in 1985. I still believe it holds for today, but worse. California has gotten too big and crowded. Good writing Nancy!

READERS SOUND OFF

You know what really ticks me off? All these out-of-staters who move to Orange County and then complain about how crowded it is. Bob Emmers (Register columnist), for example.
Who do these people think they are? Before they started showing up in droves, homes were affordable, freeways were driveable, neighborhood strawberry fields abounded, and you could even get good seats to an Angel game the night of the game.
What we need is a five-year waiting period before these foreigners would be allowed to sputter in here on their last tank of gas. Then maybe we'll let'em in. Just maybe.
