John is the son of John Joseph Boles, Sr. (1904-1982) and Mary-T John Fadief (1905-1963). He is one of three children: John, Robert, and Richard. Robert and Richard are twins.

He married Ruth Ann Newton (1933-2000). They have a daughter, Marianne.

Susan and Karen must be from another marriage.

John Joseph Boles Jr., 78, of Loma Rica died Sept. 3, 2006, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley.
Born in San Francisco, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1978.
He was a truck driver for Orowheat Bakery for 30 years.
He was a member of the Loma Rica Lions Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Marianne Boles of Loma Rica, Susan Jugar and Karen Lotspeich, both of Concord; a brother, Robert Boles of Sebastapol; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Boles; and a brother, Richard Boles.
Services: Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel in Marysville. A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at the Peoria Cemetery, Marysville Road, Browns Valley. Rev. Wayne Vincent of the Loma Rica Community Church in Loma Rica will officiate.
