I am seeking a marriage record from 1865 from the "18th Street Methodist Episcopal Church" in New York City.Has anyone information about this church and, if so, where would such records be kept?

There is a book called, as I remember, Methodist Marriages in New York City. My g.grandparents, Catherine "Kate" Hyatt and States B. Lawrence were married there in 1850. There is a copy of the book in the main library "John Germany Library" in Tampa Florida. They have a very good genealogical area.

Send the specifics to me. I get over to the library on occasion and will look for the book, when and if I get there.
Happy hunting,

Dear Ed,
Thank you for your kind offer! I am seeking more information on the marraige of Charles Buckland And Mary Wenman, both of NYC, who were married on October 25 1865 at 314 W 17th st NYC. I would like to know if this was the church's address or her home and who the witnesses were. I don't know if this info would be available in that book but for my family history it would help to tell if Charles' family were opposed to the marraige.
Thank you again.
Elena
