I have a picture dated around 1916 and the name is noted as "Sister Edna" on the back. She is clearly dressed like a nun in both pictures. Is it possible she was associated with the Lutheran church? There are no Catholics in my family and my mom suggested she was most likely Lutheran. Our family is from Pennsylvania near the Maryland border (York, Gettysburg areas). If she is with the Lutheran church where would she have lived? Is there a way to tell based on her dress which religion she was associated with?
