Sometime ago a person called from Israel, reached a sister-in-law looking for any family ancestor with name of Darlowitz{not sure of spelling} coming from England. She was given wrong information. My husband's family did come from England. We would love to find this person but not sure how to proceed.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Judy

For what it's worth, I found a BARLOW ancestor in England, part of our Townsend line Names did change in England...I had forgotton to post BARLOW previously here, as one of my surnames. Seing darlow reminded me of it. BARLOW is in the CJSI Jewish name index in the avotaynu site. I didn't look up Darlow yet. Barb

so far I have not found the Sephardic connection. If it exists it would be from the Mediterranean countries to the UK then Holland then to the early colonies 1500's- 1600's. Most of our family surnames on both sides are to be found within the avotaynu site, CJSI Consolidated Jewish Surname Index. The surnames are all "English"/one Dutch.
No one in the family but me seems to be interested. If anyone has data to share with me, I would greatly appreciate it.
