I'm sure glad you speak English! You'll find this message board now named "Sephardic Judaism." It also has a Sephardim-L mailing list. I'm so glad you found it!

I was hoping you might tell me about the expelling of Spaniards from Barcelona and Portugal. I've read the Catalonian Jewish were expelled later than most of Spain and understand that there was only limited expelling of Sephardic Jews in Portugal.

One of these times I'll make you laugh with my French Spanish.

I have known about OBENs in The Philippines, as there is a golfer with that surname. I also have researched for families in the Philippines their Sephardic roots (Tejera is one of them). I believe that there are also Sephardic surnames in Hawaii.
