Rose & Hershel were married en route between Poland and the United States in Karlovy Vary, Chzechslovakia. Rose was a "mail order bride." Hershel's first wife died in the US, leaving him with 4 children to raise. He wrote back to Poland & said he needed a wife. He received a photo in the mail, and responded, "Yes, she'll do." He sailed back to Poland & they were married on the way back to the US.

I have many records of the Flapan's who lived in Lodz, Poland.

However, I have very little on the Lasky's, but my grandmother, Rose, was born in Rawa, Poland. I'm not sure whether Lodz is close to Rawa. Rose died in Los Angeles,CA in 1978.

Rose was one of 6 siblings, including a brother, Hershka, born in 1874. Their father was Chiam Lasky.
