Hi Sean

It looks as though the change in names has come up trumps - there are 110 references in 21 volumes of the Huguenot Society's Quarto series to LALANDE, a large number of which are references to the Williamite soldiery, the majority of which are in Portarlington, a centre for them after they retired.

There are also a number of references to denizations and naturalization papers for Williamite soldiers who then went on to settle in Ireland.

I think that you have a lot of revolving names here where the names were changed because they were written phonetically.
