If the Du Val male family served with the Williamite army in Ireland in the 1690s or was involved in his campaign in Ireland, there may be a reference to them in the Hilton Jones Index at the Huguenot Library in London.

There is a major research project being undertaken by the Huguenot Society at the moment to identify and write-up the history or the officers of the Williamite Army that came to England, ongoing, for publikcation in the Quarto Series.

Thank your for your kindness. I was to the PRO Aug 1980 found service record of John Du Val, Lt RN commissioned 1803. I expect to find earlier naval connections, the family was Norman and marine in their commercial ventures. The family Bible was printed by Stychert at Amsterdam C1700, their exact whereabouts are elusive in 1690, however, I welcome your encouragement, and hope to move forward.
