Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
I am researching the family of Nathaniel Parker also. One of my Kendrick families comes from family of Mary Parker and the other is from one of the sons of Nathaniel. I have found some mention of Levin Dixon in the Galileo papers. He was 'treating with the Indians" with a John and Daniel Parker. They were back and forth to Elbert Co. Ga. so it has to be our Parkers. Hope this helps.

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
Sarah/Sallie father is Benjamin mother unk. Some thought this line was connected to the Mayflower Whites. The Mayflower Assoc says no. I have tentative father and g-father for Benjamin if you want it. Also did you know that it was not Sarah Sallie that was attack at the fort that day? She had died already. anyway--contact me privte if you like --- will share what I have. bumbebul@prodigy.netGlitz

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
Have you participated in a ydna project? If so, your results would be of real interest to those of us researching the Parker lines. If not, would you consider doing so? I understand that a free test kit is available. Or, if you prefer, you could sign up on your own. Several services do the job suitably (and pain-free, of course) and provide comparative services. Please advise if you can share or wish more info.

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
Hope this gets to you as it's been 5 years since you posted this dna project info. I am a descendant of John and Sarah (White) Parker through their daughter Abigail who married Levin Dixon. Levin and Abigail had a son, Richmond C. Dixon and he had 2 daughters. Dau Mary Ann married a Parks, which is my maiden name.

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
Thank you for your reply. Since my 2005 post, ydna has made it possible for the Benjamin Parker line I research to be matched into Parker Surname Project Family Group #7. The task remains to determine where, when, and through whom our blood line connects to the many other Parkers in FG#7.
Based on your line, can I assume that you and your family have been matched into FG#5?

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
I don't know anything about the testing or what group I would be in, etc. Is there a site I can read up about this?

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
I suggest FTDNA to check out ydna testing of your bloodline. Read up a little on dna. To learn which other living Parker males' bloodlines you match, order your test, swab, and return. They pretty much do the rest, from the lab work to notifying you of your Family Group with options to contact other members. The test results can give you assurance about your known family history or present enormous surprises about family history you never imagined. It is a fascinating and fun adventure, well worth the testing fee.

Re: Rev Benjamin Parker, Rev Daniel Parker and Elder John Parker
To add to my last post, I need to be more specific. To learn about your possible Parker bloodline, you must test a living male with a Parker surname, not adopted. If you are not a Parker male, you will need to find a Parker relative for the test, a maternal Parker grandfather, an uncle, his son, or such. Patricia Ross Parker
