I was going through some church records from mid 1870's. The records are in German and for two years, the following symbols are used with the baptism records. The symbols look like B m and f. One of these symbols is shown with each baptism. Does anyone know what they mean?

No, each baptism recorded had one of those letters associated with it. some m's were on females, some f's were on males.
