I have a baptism certificate of my grandmother and her sister baptised on the same day in 1901. Question; does both parents have to be at the baptism if they are both named on baptism record? trying to narrow down whether my great grandparents were together at the time even though they are both mentioned as parents on the record from the records office - it is only a baptism record from the archives

In which denomination and what country were your ancestors baptised?

It is in England and Church of England - on the baptism record it states the names of both parents so just wondered if they both had to be present to be named on the record
