1 person, 2 Baptism records, 2 places (Philadelphia, PA & Veľký Slavkov, Poprad, Slovakia)
I have someone with 2 Baptism records.
Both records have the same name, same Baptism date (16 Apr 1911), same parents (mother's maiden name is listed).
One is in Veľký Slavkov, Slovakia (also known as: Großschlagendorf in German and Nagyszalók in Hungarian) and the other is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the family church.
How is this possible? This has to be the same person. There is no way this can be 2 different people.

Are you looking at original records or transcriptions? It may be that the person was baptised in one place and then the priest/minister recorded that information at the other church just to have record of it.

Good point. It was almost midnight when I found it so my brain was probably asleep. That would make more sense. Thank you.
