I have a late 1920's photograph of 4 people, 3 young boys and a woman. 4 names are written at the top, and I know which of the boys names go with the children in the photograph, the only one that's stumped me is the name of the woman. I know the word refers to her, because it's the only name without a face. I just have no idea what it says.

The most likely genealogically, is that it is their mother Alice. But it just doesn't look like an Alice to me. I could just say 'nurse' but that doesn't seem likely either.

What do you think it says?
