My great-grandfather was born out of wedlock. His mother never married his bio father. He was sent off to live with relatives. On the 1921 Canada Census his father is listed as Alexander, and Fanny as his sister. Alexander was actually the grandfather and Fanny was his mother.
How are you supposed to handle this in ancestry? I can't seem to get things to match up to the records. I can't seem to make it understand that Alex isn't his father.
Any help would be appreciated
