Home of the Friendless (Now known as Homeland Center)

I am employed at Homeland Center, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and I'm looking for information about the children who had lived here at Homeland...which was then called, "The Home of the Friendless", during and after the civil war period. I am the editor of the "Homeland Highlights"(a monthly newsletter) and want to do an article about this event of the past. I'm unable to find anything related to orphaned children, particularly, after the civil war era.

Can somebody help?

Jim
