Do you have the phone # for the institution? What is it called today? How were you able to find out your Great-Grandmother was there in an 1880 census? How did you even begin looking to know that? Was her name changed? I'm trying to find a family member who I know was sent away, but we're not sure where to or if his name was changed. So far I'm unable to locate any information on him.
