I am seeking information to find out about native indians left as orphans (Cherokee) in the Franklin, TN area. My great grandmother - Eliza "Slater" Sims (b: 1864 Franklin, TN) was an orphan by the age of 14, and married in Estill Springs, Franklin, TN in October of 1880.
