On the 1920 census, Williamson County, Tenn. 16th District, I found 3 of my relatives....Mildred, Alonzo, Gwendaline Jeffers all listed as inmates at the Tennessee Baptist Orphanage....

Does anyone know of any records where I can find out why they were in the orphanage? Does anyone have info on this orphanage? This came as a total surprise to me, no one in my family knew about the orphanage, I know their father Otis Jeffers was alive (he was married to my ggmother(his 2nd marriage) and lived to be elderly.
