Thank you for the info. As it turns out this relative was taken from an orphanage without any formality and was never even legally adopted. She was taken to care for a younger child that had been left abandoned on someones doorstep. Hard to believe it isn't it? Then when she had to get a passport the 'mom' had to lie that she was the mother and a birth certificate had to be generated. Didn't even have a real date of birth. It was made up. Very sad.
