Hello, my great grandmother on my mother's side.... was named Lena. Lena B. Swift...... apparently there was a divorce of some sort in the family by her mother....anyway..... there was a long time period between Lena's mother being married and having children.....like 7 or 8 years ..... so I'm suspecting Lena may have been adopted...and that she was Jewish.....so does anyone know about the Jewish population in Guildford County, North Carolina......Im' thinking that she was taken from a children's home or orphan changed and her name changed to something more English...... to fit in with the family..............and I was wondering does anyone know of any children's homes around Guildford County? That's where the register was taken... if you have any information on Lena Belle Swift that would be great :) Thanks so much :)
