My Mother was abandoned in St. Paul, MN when she was about 5-8 months old. She searched all her life for her parents but never found them. A family took her in as a foster child but never adopted her. They named her Virginia Martha DeMaster. Does anyone have any information around the Minnesota area that might be looking for a sister, or daughter that this may have happened to? At that time in history it was tough to raise a child. Maybe an unwed mother or one more mouth to feed was just too much. Can anyone help with a name of an orphanage that might have been in the area at that time? Thanks for your help!
