It is very hard to get any information out of the home. I had a friend who used to go to New Orleans with some others and they would sit all day and copy adoption records.She died a few years ago and I have no idea how she did it. Do you have any papers at all? perhaps a court number would be of help. Where are you located? Could you get to the State Archives?
