Paul Jones was my grandfather, his bd 02/03/1888. He was born in gwinnett county Ga. He told my dad he had no siblings and both his parents died when he was small. Now I have no idea what(small means). anyway, I was just wondering if there was an orphange close, that he may have been placed in. He also told my dad a family of Smith's took him in and he worked on their plantation until he was 15 years old. Not sure what county this plantation was in or how old he was when he arrived. He arrived in La. at some point and I can track him in Louisiana in 1917, other than that we know nothing. Anyone can help we are very curious. I am not getting any younger, my dad has passed away, I am 60, and my brother is 67 we are all that is left i feel pretty desperate to find some family out there somewhere.
