My brothers Gene, Rufus and my name is Johnny were there at St. Joeseph's from 1943-1950. I don't recall anyone named Carter. I was 7, brother Ernie was 8 and Rufus was 4. Ernie ran away about a month after we got to the school. Made it all the way back to Atlanta. The school was run by the Sisters of St.Joseph. The priest was Fr.
