I only know about the Orphanage where my grandmother was placed in 1887 - The George Muller Orphan Houses in Bristol. I have no information about Orphanages in general. Have you tried a google search? Just look at the site google.co.uk and put an appropriate phrase in the search box and see what comes up. You may be lucky enough to find something on the net!
