Trying to help my friend find the origin of his grandfather who originated from the NY Foundling Hospital with Sister Teresa Vincent and was delivered to William Baumgardner in Le Roy, LA (Vermillion, Parish) in 1909. The tag lists the child as #36 and states his name was Joseph Horwat (last name could be misspelled due to poor handwriting) and list what we think is his DOB as 12-17-1907. We have searched many places including the NY Foundling Hospital Census and Children's Aid Society Census through ancestry.com. Have also sent in a request to the National Orphan Train Complex. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!!
