My great-grandmother Sarah Ellen or Helen Lawless was born in about August of 1893. The National Archives of Canada list this information about her:

If I remember correctly, she became an orphan and was sent to live with relatives, but then I guess she was sent to the orphanage from there. Apparently she was at the Rosen Hallas in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, before coming to Canada. Once she arrived in Canada, I believe she was sent to Marchmont Home in Belleville, Ontario.

If Rosen Hallas or Marchmont Home had any records about Ellen Lawless, what would have happened to them?
I was also curious if she had stayed at Marchmont Home or was adopted out, but I'm not sure where to find that information.
