Lydia Holmes is the daughter of William Holmes of Johnston County NC according to John Forts will dated 1746 Mr Holmes is an executor). She would therefore be too old to marry Sawyer after Drury Fort died in 1788...I believe it is their daughter by the same name that married John Sawyer.
