I'm searching for names, dates, and residence locations of any SEMKEN family members who were living in South Carolina during the 1800's. I would appreciated any information that you can offer.

Especially interested in any burial locations, birth/death dates from headstones, and Census information.

My great great grandparents, Dedrick Otto and Gesina Semken, are buried in Bethany Cemetary in Charleston, surrounded by many other family members. Who, in particular, are you looking for?

Myself and my family in the US. My great grandmother passed away a couple of months ago at the age of 105. Lurleen Weeks, St. george, SC... I am a Semken but married my husband, whom is British, some of my family members have started to trace history and I have decided to see what I can find. I was told by my cousin that she found we had more british in the family chain than she expected. I am now very curious to find out more. Happened to decide to look on the internet and found your postings. I do know where they have been laid to rest. We visit SC as much as we can.
