Looking for the origins of my direct patrilineal ancestor, Thomas Bradley, b. 1785 in SC., d. Abt. September 1849 in Clarke Co., AL. (His 15 offspring are well documented!) Father may have been John Bradley Sr., b. 1756 in VA. His first wife and mother of 13 (name unknown) may have been Native American (Cherokee?).

It has been over 10 years since you posted your question about Thomas Bradley b.1785. I am directly related to him, I am trying to find documentation on him and his father, can you help?

We may be researching the same family. I am working with the folks in Marion County-Marion County Library and the Three Rivers Historical Society. Per a distant relation, a John Bradley who was in the Georgetown District (which included Marion County) had a sons Thomas, Charles, Aaron, Jesse, and possibly a John. He may also have had a daughter Frances. My ancestor Jesse, left SC and went to Monroe County, AL which is near Clark County, AL. Anyway, let me know. Jesse claims he was born 1786-on the tombstone. My Family Tree is Mullane Family Tree. Look forward to hearing from you. Sue
